As I venture into the wedding planning for our wedding along with being in the industry for 15 years now, I know the importance of reducing wedding stress. So here I am creating content to try to help you through this process, even if we aren't a great fit for eachother I'm happy for you and excited to help in any way I can.
Most people think rehearsals are only about walking down the aisle.
But they’re actually where we solve problems before they become stressful.
This is where I learn:
It’s also where I learn your venue.
Especially if it’s a location I’ve never photographed before.
I’m watching:
All of that preparation means fewer interruptions for you later.
Why Ceremony Lighting Matters More Than Most Couples Realize
This is something almost nobody talks about.
But lighting can completely change how your ceremony photos and video feel.
At rehearsals, I sometimes notice:
And often? Small adjustments make a huge difference.
Sometimes shifting the ceremony by even 20–30 minutes creates softer, more flattering light.
Sometimes simply changing the direction of the ceremony avoids squinting and harsh shadows.
These are the little things couples usually don’t know to look for.
But they matter.
How Rehearsals Help Me Protect Your Peace
The biggest benefit of rehearsal attendance isn’t actually for me.
It’s for you.
Because when your photographer and videographer already understand the flow of the day, you’re not constantly being pulled away to answer questions.
You get to stay present.
You get to laugh with your friends. Hug your parents. Breathe.
And that emotional space? That’s what creates the best memories.
A Calm Wedding Day Starts Before the Wedding Day
Beautiful wedding days don’t happen by accident.
They happen through preparation.
Through communication.
Through thoughtful planning.
Through vendors who care about more than just showing up with a camera.
At the end of the day, my job isn’t just documenting your wedding.
It’s helping you actually experience it.
Planning a wedding in Alberta? Let’s create a wedding day that feels calm, intentional, and beautifully documented from start to finish.
