As I venture into the wedding planning for our wedding along with being in the industry for 13 years now, I know the importance of reducing wedding stress. So here I am creating content to try to help you through this process, even if we aren't a great fit for eachother I'm happy for you and excited to help in any way I can.
As many have heard I will no longer be doing studio sessions. I made the hard decision to close it well ahead of our move to Mexico for several reasons with the biggest being that I want more time outside rather than being indoors all the time. I have always preferred outdoor evening light and natural light over enhanced studio lights. I am so incredibly thankful for everyone who over the last 6 years stepped foot inside my studio and trusted me with their little blessings… it has been an amazing experience!
So rightfully so I had to do a session that was different than the rest I have done all this time since this was going to be one of the last studio sessions I do. Cake smashes are always hit and miss, mostly miss, with babies so when Lauren asked me if we could do something different I was all over it! I had this bouquet left over from a session I had done and we decided since Elena loves flowers to just let her enjoy them for her photos! I love how these turned out.
Feel free to share this post for those who are looking for ideas for a first birthday shoot instead of the cake smash idea!
