As I venture into the wedding planning for our wedding along with being in the industry for 13 years now, I know the importance of reducing wedding stress. So here I am creating content to try to help you through this process, even if we aren't a great fit for eachother I'm happy for you and excited to help in any way I can.
I think the first place to start is by saying thank you to Ania and Tom. It was such an amazing honor to have been chosen to capture their wedding day in Mexico and to have them come on an adventure with me! I have traveled everywhere in Mexico and this was my third visit in the Puerto Morelos area!
When I met with Ania and Tom back in July I knew their wedding would be fun but it was even better than I imagined. I arrived at the resort, Now Jade Riviera, late in the evening and after a few moments found Ania. She took me to meet everyone that was there, it was mostly family, they were all so welcoming and a very fun crowd, I knew instantly this wedding would be an awesome one!
It rained most of the days until the day before and the wedding morning was beautiful and hot! Unfortunately moments before we were to leave for the ceremony a torrential downpour began and so the decision was obvious to move everything inside and it was the most gorgeous spot! I had been shown the spot a few days before and knew that if we had to move this was the perfect location because we still had that tropical vibe and natural light with the bonus of not being completely soaked! Ania was amazingly calm and she knew that it was minor in the scheme of things because she was marrying her best friend. They had known each other for years and had an amazing connection. The two of them didn’t stop smiling all day! We improvised a bit when it came time for photos and we had a break in the rain for about half hour to get some photos outside. Thankfully we did a lot of family photos the day before and the last day we were there to make up for that loss of time with the rain too 🙂
For the reception they used the Bamboo room at the hotel that is beside the main restaurant. The room was stunning and the food was very well presented. Every guest was dancing all night until the very end. Oddly enough most of them were up at the crack of dawn waiting in line for delicious coffee with me.
The morning after the wedding we had planned a trip over to my favorite island, Isla Mujeres, to do some wedding photos and trash the dress. At 8am I got a call that Ania and Tom were just getting ready and we would grab a cab to head over to the ferry. Just as we pulled up to Isla the rain stopped and there was a small patch of blue sky! First stop was to go get a golf cart for the day so I could show them the entire island. We stopped at a lot of spots that I had seen while I was there last summer that I only dreamed of using for a wedding couple and thankfully I had the perfect couple for that! Tom was a trooper especially after all that dancing at the reception, honestly he should be a roll model for grooms haha!
Here are my favorite moments from their wedding day and our adventure over to Isla Mujeres… enjoy 🙂
